Aubrey Rodman is the passionate founder of Bottega Yoga, a Black female-owned yoga studio located in the heart of Wakefield, Rhode Island. Bottega Yoga was created with a clear vision: to offer a space where real people could come, do real yoga, and unapologetically be themselves.
From that vision came the birth of Bottega Retreats—soulful getaways designed to connect you with like-minded individuals in a setting that encourages you to create your own experience. While each retreat offers a wide variety of classes, workshops, and group activities, it’s truly a choose-your-own-adventure. You’re encouraged to participate in it all—but equally honored if you choose to rest, reflect, and simply be. These retreats are about finding your true north, your authentic self, your own soul flow.
Aubrey is known for leading freeform Vinyasa classes—a dynamic style of yoga she’s dubbed “urban flow.” Set to R&B and hip-hop beats, her classes are about more than just movement; they’re about rhythm, breath, sweat, and self-discovery. This philosophy is the heart of the retreats: finding your own rhythm, in your own way, on your own terms.
We hope you’ll join us on this potentially life-changing journey.
Namaste.
Whether you're a seasoned yogi or just beginning your journey, all levels are welcome. Aubrey closes every class with a message that perfectly captures the spirit of her studio and her retreats:
“The light in me honors the light in you.
The love in me honors the love in you.
And the messy human in me honors the messy human in you.”
This is how we invite you to show up: not seeking perfection, but seeking peace within your perfectly imperfect self.
Isabella is, first and foremost, a yogi.
Her journey began in her teenage years, thanks to her mother who introduced her to the practice. But it wasn’t until the start of college—during a time when anxiety felt crippling—that she found herself checking people in for local studios and falling in love with the practice. It grounded her and became her sanctuary.
In 2021, Isabella completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training and has since been guiding others through dynamic classes, immersive sound baths, and inversion workshops. Her teaching style is unmistakable: long, creative sequences. Strength-building flows. Loud, energizing playlists. Every class is an invitation to explore, challenge, and express yourself.
The Caribbean coast of Costa Rica holds a special place in Isabella’s heart. She first visited the region with her mom during a time where she needed healing. Something about the sea, the jungle, the culture, the humidity, the fruit, and experiencing it with someone she loved—it all came together to offer her a sense of peace she hadn’t felt in years.
That healing experience is why she chose this magical place to host her first retreat, alongside her dear friend and teacher, Aubrey Rodman.
“What makes this retreat so special is that Aubrey and I are friends who are passionate about showing up authentically and having a good time. And yes, you will deepen your practice, get down on your mat with some funky flows and a good playlist, and have both me and Aubrey as a resource to any and all questions you may have. But it’s also a vacation. A chance to have fun, to experience a different culture, to nurture your soul, and to connect with real people in a magical place.”
